Camp Ga’avah (Pride) is a summer day camp serving Long Island for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth, and their allies. It’s a safe place for youth ages 12-17 of all sexual orientations and gender identities to build strong relationships and confidence, and to learn skills to better navigate their individual journeys. Camp Ga’avah features traditional day camp programming with activities including swim (optional), drama, sports, art, yoga, ropes challenge course, gaga, trips, music and more! Our social and support programs for campers features leadership training, fire side chats and special guest speakers, and our specialized staff includes art therapists, music therapists, social workers, LGBTQ+ leaders and camp professionals. We also have year-round programs for campers and their families including family fun days, reunions, holiday programming and year-round support groups for partners, siblings and campers.
